AJ is here...HURRAAAAYYYY

THIS IS BREAKING NEWS:

AJ (Aaron Lee Crumbey Jr.) has arrived!!! After 8 1/2 hours of labor he is here and very alert.

I know everyone is wanting more details so here they are...

At 9:15am Shania, Sandra, Keke, Debbie and myself arrived at my graduation ceremony. Parking was crazy so I got out while we were in line to park so that I can check in on time. I was in line with my robe on and cap in hand and just a few seconds away from putting it on and that's when I got a phone call (appx 9:45am). Sandra calls me stating she thinks her water broke!! So I ran like Carl Lewis and met her at the bathroom where she confirmed that her water indeed had broken. We then headed towards the hospital with certainty that AJ was coming today :) I drove very cautiously but with Dalehart style.

(Appx 10:00am) We arrived at the hospital where they examined Sandra first to see how far she was within the delivery process. She was dialated to 1 and 60% effaced. The doctor then called and instructed the nurse that if she is not progressing by 12pm to start the inducing process by noon, which we did. The nurse started the pitocin booster very slowly and when the doctor arrived at 1:30pm he checked her. She was now dialated to 2 and 90% effaced, he said she's thinning out and things should move along much faster. So now we were just waiting and breathing through the contractions as they got stronger. Sandra was doing great :). This is also when the doctor approved the epidural (also known as the "its all good drug".) Our nurse Penny was super great and she stayed with us and talked with us, taking our minds off of the pain that was to come. I would like to take this time out to send a shout out to nurse Penny...holla at ya boy. At appx 3:30pm Sandra started to get the shakes from the pitocin (the nurse said the shakes means your progressing so we said "It's working! It's working" lol.). At appx 4:20pm nurse Penny checked Sandra to see how far she has come. Sandra was now dialated to 9 and 100% effaced. It was about that time to start pushing so Nurse Penny paged the doctor and he' was here 20 min later. When the doctor checked her she was now dialated to a minus 1 and Sandra is ready to push because of the intense pressure so nurse Penny says lets do this. At appx 4:35 the first push began and the counting has started. One of the most tramatic and heart wrenching thing for me is to see my wife in pain. So with the help of nurse Penny I tried to get her to focus on seeing AJ (a.k.a baby air jordan) and also IN -N- OUT (the best burger in the free known world). Sandra did great with pushing and being focused, we make a great team! Needless to say, AJ arrived at 5:49pm and was placed in mommy's arms. He is happy and healthy and is truly mommy's "prince charming" as she calls him. Mommy is doing great! The doctor said the delivery was a complete success with zero complications and we truly thank God for that. We want to say thank you to those who were praying for us! We can truly say that they were felt and we are so thankful for all of you. Enjoy the pictures and videos to come...

Lots of Love,
The Aaron Crumbey Family of 4!

A cute new video...

Every night Aaron carries Shania down the stairs on his back to get her ready for bedtime and tuck her in. This is the song they sing on their way down...
